Now there is a NoSQL community forming due to many sites realising they have non-relational data needs (either key/value-oriented or document-oriented) and massive scalability needs.
Yet on page 2, it is acknowledged that
While conceding that relational databases offer an unparalleled feature set and a rock-solid reputation for data integrity, NoSQL proponents say this can be too much for their needs.
Yawn.
I suspect we will see many more of these articles over the next few years. Eventually, non-relational data stores will find their place (and they do have a place), and most people will realise the relational data model is still useful for most purposes.
